The 2023 CCCA Annual Meeting
The 2023 CCCA Annual Meeting
March 29 through April 2, 2023
You are invited to attend the 2023 CCCA Annual Meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, March 29 through Sunday, April 2, 2023 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Our host hotel is the Ritz-Carlton, just steps away from the Philadelphia Museum of Art, which is familiar to movie fans as the location of Sylvester Stallone’s triumphant run up the steps in the motion picture “Rocky.” Events planned include museum tours, car collections, Club business meetings, Classic Car Grand Classic and traditional CCCA awards presentations as the final night banquet.
Plan to arrive no later than Wednesday, March 29 and take part of the Welcoming Party at the hotel for an abundance of Philadelphia foods and heavy hors d’oeuvres, plus a no host bar and the opportunity to catch up with CCCA members.
Thursday morning begins with a hosted buffet full breakfast followed by official Club business including the general membership meeting and announcement of the incoming and outgoing members of the Board of Directors. Two excellent automobile collections are scheduled for the day: the impressive Bulgari Collection where we will have lunch, followed by a visit to the equally impressive Ross Myers’ Collection. The evening is open for dinner on your own and the opportunity to explore some great dining options near the hotel.
Friday begins with a continental breakfast hosted by the CCCA Museum where you will hear about all the great things going on at the museum and find out how you can support their efforts. Breakfast will be followed in meetings covering Classifications and Regional Relations and Publications. The afternoon, will be spent exploring Philadelphia at the many attractions in the City. Tour options and points of Interest will be provided.
Cocktails and dinner Friday evening take place at the Union League of Philadelphia, just next door to our host hotel. The Union League is a private club founded in 1862 celebrating and promoting the policies of President Abraham Lincoln.
Saturday is all about the Classic Car Grand Classic and CCCA traditions. Classics will be displayed and judged at the famous Simeone Museum (described below) and one car shown will emerge as the Warshawsky Best of Show Classic, named and honored later that evening.
The Judges and tabulators breakfast/meeting will take place early that morning at the Simeone. Enjoy our Classics on display or tour cars on display at the Museum. Later in the day, a technical seminar will be staged back at the hotel. Our evening banquet will serve as the backdrop for the combined Classic Car GC awards presentation and the Regional awards presentation. This all takes place at the world-renowned Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum. Founded by the late neurosurgeon and CCCA member Dr. Frederick Simeone, the collection is home to more than 75 historically-significant automobiles sharing the common theme of “The Spirit of Competition.”
Sunday, April 2 is an optional day if you can stay through Sunday. Steve Babinsky has invited us to his impressive collection for a tour and lunch in nearby New Jersey. Transportation to and from will be provided for our day together.
Event and GC car registration forms are available on the CCCA website, with the option of downloading forms or using on-line registration. The forms will also be included in the December Classic Car magazine. And these forms are also attached below.
