The 2009 “Experience” weekend will take place June 5-7 at the Classic Car Club of America Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. The theme for the 2009 event, which also marks the museum’s 25th anniversary, is “Senior Cars.”

Hickory Corners, Michigan – In conjunction with it’s 25th Anniversary, The Classic Car Club of America Museum is hosting their 2009 Concours “The Senior Car Experience.” It’s a display of nearly 100 Full Classic® cars shown on the picturesque campus of The Gilmore Car Museum, located in Hickory Corners, Michigan.  Show time is 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 7th. Additional car related activities are scheduled for Saturday June 6th. This year's gathering features CCCA Classic Cars that have previously received National First Place awards.  The Club refers to these National Award winners as “Senior Cars,” hence the name of this year’s special event.  The quality of the cars is expected to be superb.  It will be this year’s largest gathering CCCA Full Classics® in the state of Michigan, and some of the finest examples to be found anywhere.

The “Senior Car Experience” will feature Concours style judging, culminating with a narrated drive-by awards presentation on Sunday afternoon.  It is something you don’t want to miss.

Cars recognized by the Classic Car Club of America (CCCA) as "Full Classics®" were built in limited production numbers prior to 1949 and were quite expensive when new. They represent the pinnacle of engineering, styling and design for their era. You will find examples of cars such as Cadillac, Packard, Auburn, Duesenberg, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, Chrysler, Lincoln, Stutz and other rare and exotic makes.

Visitors can also stroll through the swap meet area and the Automotive Art Show on both Saturday and Sunday. A variety of items will be available to purchase, including an eclectic mix of car parts, Automotive Art, literature and other antiques.  There will also be several silent auctions to participate in, as well as some great photo opportunities.
