The 28th Lime Rock Historic Festival – September 2010

Click here for a Recap of the Event from Sports Car Digest

Sunday of the event weekend sees our Sunday in the Park concours and car show. In addition to the many high point cars in the concours, our featured collector, Joe Freeman , will have from his collection the second works Duesenberg produced. Last year our Sunday show saw more than 700 cars on display lining the entire track. We offer car clubs dedicated, signed space on the track, at no cost. Among the clubs participating are Rolls Royce, Bentley, Bugatti, Porsche, BMW, Lotus, Austin Healey, Mercedes Benz and Volvo.

For details on tickets, go to limerock.com, click on “Tickets” and scroll down to the Historics section. Our prices are reasonable and advance tickets are discounted. We encourage CCCA members to participate in the Sunday car show. All cars are judged and prizes awarded to outstanding cars. Rolex Watch USA awards a watch to the car judged Best in Show. For high point cars to participate in the concours, entries must be approved by the Chairman. Applications are found on the LRP website. Please identify your club affiliation when ordering tickets. This will allow us to provide sufficient track space.

We are pleased to invite members of the CCCA to join us at the Historic Festival, the largest event of its kind in the Northeast. Lime Rock is a 53-year old icon of the motorsports world, located in the beautiful foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. Its history is full of racing milestones which over the years have seen most of the legendary drivers in the sport competing at the 1.5 mile circuit.

The Historic Festival is a four day event, with nearly 300 vintage race cars from the early years of the last century up to and including the powerful racing machines of the post WWII era and beyond until 1979. These will include many from the great Italian marques, now owned by FIAT. We will honor the 100th anniversary of Alfa Romeo, along with singular historic racing cars from Lancia, Maserati and Ferrari.
