IMPORTANT:
Please Read This Before You Email Me!
One of the rewards of editing the CCCA Web site is
corresponding with Classic Car enthusiasts from all around the world. Unfortunately,
sometimes the email becomes a bit burdensome. It isn't uncommon to receive 50 emails
per day. While I really do want to be helpful, please keep in mind a few basics.
I can't respond to the following questions and comments:
- How much is my (vehicle name) worth? (I'm
not qualified to give you an educated guess.) You can post your question on our Discussion
Forums by clicking
here.
- Where do I get a (part name) for
my (vehicle name)?
(Beats
me. I'm still looking for parts for my cars. That's part of the fun of the
hobby) Once again, the Discussion
Forum would be a good place to post your question.
- I have a (vehicle name) for
sale. Please tell your membership.
(If you are a member of CCCA, you can submit a free ad
in The Bulletin and it will also be posted on our web site in the "Classified
Ad" Department). You could also list it on our Buy-Sell
Discussion Forum
- I need a car for my wedding.
(Neither I, nor the Club is in the car rental business). But you can ask people on
our Discussion
Forum.
- Who owns my grandfather's (
Uncle's, Father's, etc.) car now? (This is one of the worlds greatest
challenges. Since your local DMV doesn't have this information, it is extremely
unlikely that CCCA does either. Posting your question on our Discussion
Forum, may yield results. It's amazing what and who our member know.)
- Please write a term paper for me
about cars. (Oh, come on now. Does your school have a library?)
- I need financial information
about your club. (Can I have a copy of your financial statement and a
couple of credit card numbers too?)
- Please send me the names and
addresses of all your members so we can send them exciting news about a "special
offer." (No comment required)
I don't mind answering your questions. In fact, I really enjoy it.
Unfortunately, I can't help with questions like those above. Even so,
there are answers to most of your questions. Post them in the CCCA
Discussion Forum
. You'll be amazed at the help you'll get
from other Classic car enthusiasts on the net.
If you are looking for other web sites that can help you first, go to our Links page. It will connect you with many interesting
sites. If you still can't find what you are looking for, I suggest you use a search
engine like www.yahoo.com, they list thousands of
automotive related web sites that are an endless source of information. You may also
find that Hemmings Motor News is a good resource
too.
I'm here to help you, but please
remember I am a volunteer.
